Near infrared light therapy is one of the most cost effective, safest and powerful ways of improving circulation, oxygenation of tissues as well as prompting elimination of heavy metals, toxic chemicals and chronic infections from the body. Near InfraRed Sauna Therapy is based on two processes which are known to contribute to wellbeing. Both of these have been used for hundreds of years as a healing tool.
The first process provided by Near InfraRed Sauna Therapy is that of Photobiomodulation. Photobiomodulation, in its basic form, translates as the effect of light on living organisms.
We are beings of light and scientists have found that our cells absorb light through specific cell receptors. Once light has been absorbed, it sets off a complex group of chemical and physical reactions within the cell, prompting numerous healing benefits. Researchers are finding these reactions to be beneficial to health.
We use incandescent, tungstein bulbs. The tungstein filament found in the bulbs is heated by the electrical current when it makes contact with the base of the bulb and enters into the bulb housing, thus heating the tungstein filament. As the filament burns, particles fly off it, creating heat. The effect of this "controlled fire" is similar to that of a burning log or coal.
An incandescent light bulb produces approximately 90% heat, and 10% light. Providing natural thermal infrared wavelengths in the red, near infrared and thermal light spectrum, incandescent light is as close to the gold standard - the sun - as one can get.
Near InfraRed Sauna Therapy generates heat within the cells with its wavelength of 700-1400nm in the electromagnetic light spectrum, and penetrates deeply into the tissue. This prompts hyperthermia in the body, allowing it to sweating profusely. This process serves to assist the body in eliminating toxins, heavy metals and chemicals through the skin, thus to a great degree bypassing and therefore putting less stress on the organs of elimination.
